John Afful poised to capture Weija-Gbawe NDC Chairmanship position

Nkroful (W/R), Oct. 20, GNA – Mr. John Afful, Chairman hopeful for Weija-Gbawe Constituency in the upcoming elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asked delegates to cast their ballots for him as he brings a new dimension of leadership to the political table.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Nkroful, Mr. Afful spelt out three major key policies which would be implemented to change the economic fortunes of people in his constituency.

Under the policies, Mr. Afful said he would establish a job hub also known as a job secretariat to ensure that “all branch executives with their members benefit from struggling for the party”.

He added that the last year in power prior to general elections would be dedicated to putting their members in beneficial jobs to be gainfully employed.

On welfare, Mr. Afful said as a social democratic party, the policy was in line with party objectives as the welfare of the people remained an utmost concern.

β€œThe vulnerable and less privileged will therefore not be left behind,” he promised.

Touching on unity, the Weija-Gbawe NDC Constituency Chairman hopeful said the party’s motto of unity could never be ignored “if we want to build a populist front in Weija-Gbawe” adding that an institution without unity and cohesion is bound to collapse.

As part of measures to change the narrative, he said party structures would be strengthened to cater for the interests and welfare of people at the grassroots.
