Bridget Fonda showed off her thinner frame as she stepped out for a lowkey outing in Los Angeles this week.

The 62-year-old star, who has undergone a reported 100lb weight loss transformation, was seen stepping out on Monday while clad in a relaxed ensemble.

The retired actress kept it casual in a white top, blue cardigan and black sweats, which drew the eye to her trim midriff.

The Scandal star wore her hair in a tousled updo and sported shades on her outing.

She has been showcasing her slimmer figure in recent months, including an outing earlier this month while grabbing lunch with pals.

Earlier this year in February, a nutritionist gave insight into how Fonda could have possibly dropped pounds.

A weight specialist in Southern California, Dr Wilks, told the Daily Mail: ‘It looks like she has definitely lost more weight in the last two months, and possibly has dropped as much as 100lbs in the past year.’

He then added that Fonda ‘likely used medication’ to aid in her weight loss.

‘She could have taken a diabetes drug like GLP-1 which can be found in Zepbound and Ozempic. That would explain the rapid and consistent weight loss.

‘But if she dropped the pounds naturally there really is only one way she could have done it: by dramatically decreasing sugar, carbs and dairy.’

Fonda has been showcasing her weight loss transformation, which seemingly began in recent years.

Back in October of last year, functional nutritionist Monica Partier also suggested that GLP-1s and diet could have been a part of Fonda shedding weight.

Partier noted that achieving metabolic balance is essential. ‘It’s important to look at hormone levels, gut health, nutrient deficiencies, obesogens, and chronic stress.’

The former star is the daughter of late actor Peter Fonda and the niece of actress Jane Fonda.

She made her film debut in the 1969 movie Easy Rider at the age of five, which had also starred her father Peter as well as Jack Nicholson and Dennis Hopper.

In the late 80s, she began to take on roles in other projects such as You Can’t Hurry Love (1988) and Scandal (1989).

In 1990, she played the character of a journalist in Francis Ford Coppola’s sequel The Godfather Part III.

Fonda then starred in Single White Female (1992) alongside Jennifer Jason Leigh, with the psychological erotic thriller becoming a cult classic in later years.

Other movies she appeared in during the course of her career included It Could Happen To You (1994), Jackie Brown (1997), A Simple Plan (1998), Lake Placid (1999) and Kiss Of The Dragon (2001).

Fonda received a number of award nominations during her time as an actress, such as a Golden Globe nod for Best Supporting Actress based on her performance in Scandal (1989).

Her last appearance on the screen was in the 2002 television film titled Snow Queen.

She was involved in a car accident in 2003 where she fractured a vertebra and halted her acting career.

That same year, she tied the knot with composer Danny Elfman and the couple share son Oliver, 21.

Back in 2023, the former actress revealed whether she has plans to ever return to the entertainment industry.

‘No,’ Fonda had stated while at LAX airport at the time. ‘I don’t think so, it’s too nice being a civilian.’

While the retired actress has taken a step back away from the industry, she has been spotted on other recent outings.

Earlier this month, the star continued to show off her slimmer figure while joined by friends for a relaxing excursion in Los Angeles.
