Mahama sets 2030 target to end export of raw mineral ores

Ghana is targeting an end to exports of unprocessed mineral ores by 2030, as the government steps up efforts to transform the country’s mineral resources into finished and semi-finished products for domestic industries and export markets.The country will pursue a phased prohibition on raw mineral exports, supported by the necessary legal measures, mineral-specific requirements and transparent implementation timetables.
