“ I want to be able to control the woman I marry” — Man shares nine things he will not compromise on in his future wife.
A man has stirred mixed reactions after sharing nine conditions he wants a woman to meet before he considers marrying her. His demands include cooking for him, following his decisions and putting family life ahead of her career.
He explained that he wants a marriage based on traditional roles, where the husband provides for the family while the wife takes care of the home. He also outlined his expectations about his future wife’s appearance, spending habits and their sex life.
One of his most controversial demands was that he should have the final say over what his wife wears, where she goes and the people she associates with.
He also said he would not marry a woman he considered overweight. According to him, he would send his wife away if she gained weight after marriage.
Speaking about the responsibilities of a husband and wife, he said, “I provide, you nurture. I support you and you support me.”
The man also ruled out marrying a single mother. He explained that he might find it difficult to treat another man’s child as his own and was concerned that the child’s biological father could interfere in their marriage.
He further stated that his wife should not work outside the home beyond 7 pm. If her job required her to stay out later than that, he expected her to leave the job.
On finances, he said he wanted his wife to account for the money he gave her and seek his approval before making major purchases.
He also shared his expectations about intimacy, saying he wanted a wife who enjoyed sex, took the initiative and was open to trying new things with him.
Despite the strong reactions his views may attract, the man maintained that he was simply stating what he wanted in a marriage and was not forcing anyone to accept his conditions.
His demands have brought attention to the different expectations people have of marriage, as well as the importance of discussing personal boundaries, independence and shared responsibilities before deciding to build a life together.
