Nairobi Woman Spotted Dancing with Kanyari Has Beeen Dumped By Her Husband

Controversial preacher Victor Kanyari has pledged to cater for a woman who claims her husband chased her and their child out of their home after a video of her dancing with the preacher went viral.

The Kasarani parliamentary hopeful made the promise when the woman showed up at his church on Saturday, October 17.

The clip dates back to June, when footage from a Nairobi political rally showed a young woman joining Kanyari on stage as the crowd cheered.

Kanyari, dressed in a blue suit and holding a microphone, danced briefly with her. He later shared the video on his Instagram page, drawing sharp reactions given his background as a preacher and faith healer.

The woman arrived at the church with a pickup carrying her belongings, including a mattress and blankets. In a video of the encounter, she told Kanyari her husband saw the footage and sent her away because she had been with him. She added that he told her to take whatever she thought would help, so she took the bed.

With his arm over her shoulder, Kanyari told her she would be with him and asked her to look for a house, saying he would pay the rent and look after her and her child. He then instructed a boda boda rider to help her find accommodation.

Social media users were divided. One commenter said Kanyari has a good heart, while another claimed they would also have chased the woman away. Some joked about being chased away by their own wives.
