And, it’s the news fans have been waiting for: the Festive Bake is back.

Landing nationwide in stores from Thursday, October 22, the fan favourite is returning, ‘with a new and improve recipe for 2026.’

For those who need a refresher, the bake features cooked chicken, smoked ham hock, and bacon with soft cheese.

That’s all crammed into the puff pastry, along with pork, sage and onion stuffing, and a creamy sage and cranberry sauce.

At just £2.50, it’s sure to get snackers into the festive spirit, given Greggs fans wait all year for its return.

On Facebook, Sarah Stanley revealed that ‘festive bake time’ was the ‘greatest time of the year,’ and creator Dale’s Bits called it the ‘delicious Christmas square of dreams.’

Meanwhile on TikTok, user @leahjcleah wrote, ‘I literally count down the days to the festive bake!’

And @x.that0negurl.x shared that the pastry has become part of Christmas for her: ‘It’s a tradition that I decorate my house the day I eat my first festive bake.’

On Reddit, there’s a whole thread dedicated to the Festive Bake, with one poster calling it a ‘little slice of happiness that pops up for a couple months.’

The Festive Bake is part of the second wave of Christmas menu item, with the intial drop arriving in stores earlier this month.

If you can’t get to a Greggs, don’t panic. The items will all be available for delivery, too.

First up, there’s a new sandwich for 2026.

The Pigs Under Blankets Toastie (from £4.10) features smoked bacon, pork sausage, Cheddar cheese, and cranberry and red onion relish in white bread made with sourdough, topped with béchamel and a blend of cheeses.

The returning Festive Feast Baguette, (from £4.10), combines chicken, bacon, pork, sage and onion stuffing, and cranberries in a seasoned mayonnaise with ham hock, Cheddar cheese, and crispy onions.

For a lighter option, the Festive Flatbread returns this year too (from £3.75). The sort-of-sandwich wraps chicken, bacon, sweetened dried cranberries, and pork, sage and onion stuffing together, with mayonnaise and seasoned herbs.

And, pizza lovers can enjoy the new Pepperoni Pizza with Hot Honey (from £2.70), which features a focaccia-style base topped with cheese, pizza sauce, jalapeños, red onions, and a drizzle of sweet hot honey.

For those with a sweet tooth, the White Chocolate Gingerbread Cookie (from £1.70) comes with white chocolate buttons, chocolate lentils, crystallised ginger, caramel balls, and a white chocolate flavour coating.

But will it challenge M&S’s iconic gingerbread and white chocolate cookie?

New for 2026 is the Millionaire’s Doughnut (from £1.50), filled with rich caramel, topped with salted caramel flavour icing and milk chocolate-coated shortcake biscuit pieces.

For the ultimate chocolate fix, the Double Chocolate Doughnut (from £1.40) features chocolate filling, chocolate flavour icing, and white and milk chocolate flavour coatings.

Greggs fans can also look forward to several hot and iced drinks in the festive line-up to enjoy from next Thursday.

This includes the Hazelnut Crunch Latte (from £2.85), which is also available iced (from £3.35).

Plus, there’s the Salted Caramel Latte (from £2.85), also available iced (from £3.35).

If you’re not a coffee-lover, try the Candy Cane Mint Hot Chocolate (£2.90) which is also available iced, or their Candy Cane Mint Iced Matcha Latte (from £3.60).

Following the first drop of festive treats on October 1, several items are already available in Greggs stores nationwide.

Pigs in Blankets made their triumphant return to Greggs stores nationwide at the start of the month. The chain’s version features six pork sausages wrapped in smoked streaky bacon, served in a takeaway pot (£2.50).

First launched in 2018, the popular festive snack hadn’t been available for four years.

New for 2026 is the Sweet Mince Pie Roll (from £1), which wraps sweet mincemeat made from vine fruits, Bramley apples, and candied orange and lemon peel inside puff pastry, finished with a dusting of icing sugar.

Also back this year are the Sweet Mince Pies (from £2.60 for a 6-pack). The traditional shortcrust pastry mince pies are vegan-friendly, and include vine fruits, sweet mincemeat, candied orange and lemon peel, Bramley apple, lightly dusted with icing sugar.

The Christmas Cake Slice also made a welcome return (from £1.50). The treat is packed with festive fruit and ground almonds, layered with apricot jam, almond marzipan, and white icing.
