I Went To USA And I Was Pulled Aside For Inspection But I Wasn’t Asked What I Said About Trump -Sowore

Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has stated that Nigerian leaders sent him to prison for simply expressing his views about things going wrong in the country

In an interview with Channels Television, Sowore said he frequently criticises the US government and its president but has never been confronted by the police in the USA over his statements. He said that during a trip to the US two weeks ago, he was pulled aside for inspection on arrival, but nobody questioned him about what he had said about President Donald Trump.

In Sowore’s words: “There was never a time police knocked on my door there and said ‘You wrote something against the council’. And I frequently criticize the US government and US president. I just went to the US two weeks ago and when I arrived I was pulled aside for inspection but nobody asked me what I said about Trump”
