2027: Governor Adeleke Reacts After Being Named In Tinubu’s Campaign Team
According to a report by The Vanguard on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on Nigerians to back President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying he is confident the president will secure a second term in the 2027 general election.
The governor spoke on Wednesday in Abuja at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, where he promised to mobilise support for Tinubu’s return to Aso Rock. Adeleke, who recently aligned with the APC, said victory was already within sight.
“I can feel the victory coming in 2027. Nobody can stop this movement. I’m ready to lead this movement,” he said.
Adeleke, who is popular for his dance moves at public events, said the campaign would be one of celebration as supporters work towards the president’s re-election. “We’re going to sing, we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock,” he declared.
The governor also appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the president’s reforms, while admitting that the policies have not been easy for citizens.
“Everybody that is thinking otherwise, we must give our father, the President of this nation, time to work for his reforms to work. It’s not easy,” he said.
Explaining why he joined the campaign, Adeleke said he wants action rather than too much talk.
“That is why I am here to throw my weight because we want action, not too much talking. We don’t have time; work has begun. I’ve already started mine,” he said.
He urged Tinubu’s supporters across the country to step up their efforts, noting that a second term would allow the president to finish his programmes.
“From every corner, let us rise and make sure our president comes back for a second term so he can come back and complete his good work,” Adeleke said.
