BAT: Nobody Can Stop This Movement; We Are Going To Sing, Dance All the Way Back to Aso Rock—Adeleke
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared his support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term ambition, expressing confidence that the president will secure re-election in 2027. Adeleke made the declaration while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council, in remarks aired by TVC News on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
The governor called on Nigerians to support Tinubu’s re-election bid, insisting that the president should be given more time to implement his reforms. “I declare today that today is the day that the Lord has made, and we shall rejoice. I am the light, and the light is here. I can feel the victory coming in 2027. If you are feeling the victory, let me hear you say, ‘Oh!’ Nobody can stop this movement. Is anybody able to stop this movement?,” he said.
Adeleke further declared his readiness to lead the movement, promising a celebratory return to the nation’s seat of power if Tinubu secures another term. “I’m ready to lead this movement. Yes, we’re going to sing, we’re going to dance, all the way back to Aso Rock,” he said.
The governor also urged those opposed to Tinubu’s re-election to allow the president sufficient time to deliver on his reform agenda, arguing that four years would not be enough to achieve the desired results. “So everybody that is thinking otherwise, we must give our father, the President of this nation, time for his reforms to work. It’s not easy. Four years is not enough,” Adeleke said.
Explaining his decision to support the president’s second-term ambition, the governor said he was backing Tinubu because he wanted to see action rather than excessive talk. “That is why I’m here, to throw my weight, because we want action, not too much work. I mean, not too much talking, because we don’t have time. The work has begun. I’ve already started mine,” he stated.
Adeleke called on Nigerians across different parts of the country to unite behind Tinubu and work towards securing his return to office in 2027. “From every corner, let us rise, let us rise, and make sure our President comes back for the second time, so I can come and complete his good work,” he said.
The Osun governor concluded his remarks with a call for continued prayers for the country’s leaders, particularly Tinubu, stressing that the president’s success would also benefit Nigerians. “And one thing I want Nigeria to know: we shall continue to pray for our leaders. Can I hear you? Continue praying for our leaders. Continue praying for Mr President. If he succeeds, we will succeed,” Adeleke said.
