Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, pledging to mobilise support for the president’s return to Aso Rock in 2027.
Adeleke made the declaration on Wednesday at the inauguration of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, where he called on Nigerians to support Tinubu and pray for his administration’s success.
“I am the light, and the light is here. We will sing and dance back to Aso Rock after President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

“I am here to throw my weight behind Tinubu’s return to Aso Rock. Let us rise from every nook and corner to support the President. Let him come and complete the good work he has begun.
“I want you to continue to pray for Mr. President because if he succeeds, we all succeed. I know we will get there,” the governor said.
Following his speech, Adeleke, popularly known for his energetic dance moves, joined Tinubu in dancing, while singing, drawing admiration and cheers from the crowd at the event.
The governor’s performance added a lively moment to the inauguration as attendees watched him show his trademark dancing style after publicly backing the president’s re-election bid.
Adeleke’s declaration came after the APC named him and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo as state campaign coordinators in its revised Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election.
The Osun governor, who belongs to the Accord Party, was appointed to coordinate the president’s campaign in Osun State, while Soludo, a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was assigned to coordinate campaign activities in Anambra State.
Their inclusion in the council highlights the APC’s efforts to secure support from political figures outside its ranks ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda said the party had approached the governors and other opposition figures to seek their support for Tinubu’s re-election. According to reports, both governors agreed to work for the president’s return to office.
The revised campaign council also named Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, as coordinator for Rivers State and the FCT.
Tinubu is chairman of the campaign council, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Yilwatda serving as vice-chairmen.
The inauguration, held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, formally brought the expanded campaign structure into focus as the ruling party prepared for the 2027 general election.
