According to a post shared on her verified Instagram page, @dakoreea, Nollywood actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has celebrated her 48th birthday, sharing a message of hope and gratitude while reflecting on the loss of her father.

The actress marked the occasion by sharing a series of photographs of herself in a white dress, accompanied by a heartfelt message about her new age and the experiences that have shaped her life.

Dakore revealed that this was her first birthday without her father, Mr Samuel Egbuson, who passed away on January 1, 2026. She expressed the pain of celebrating without him, noting that she continues to carry his love with her in ways she is still discovering.

Despite the grief, the actress expressed gratitude for other blessings in her life, including her mother’s 70th birthday, the gift of her husband and their daughters, and the love surrounding her.
