Real Madrid target’s five demands rejected by Manchester United

According to a report by Madrid Universal on Tuesday October 13, 2026, Manchester United wonderkid JJ Gabriel has seen five demands rejected by the club, increasing uncertainty over his future at Old Trafford as Real Madrid monitor his situation.

According to reports, the 16-year-old forward has attracted interest from several European giants, including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. However, his reported conditions have complicated discussions with Manchester United over his development and long-term future.

Gabriel has reportedly requested the No. 77 shirt for first-team appearances and wants “Gabriel JR” printed on the back of his jersey. He also wants to train exclusively with the senior squad rather than the Under-21s and has sought a guaranteed minimum of 20 minutes of first-team football in matches against Sabah, Brighton and Bournemouth.

His financial expectations are another reported sticking point, with the teenager said to be demanding a seven-figure annual salary. Two of the three matches in which he reportedly wanted guaranteed playing time have already been played without him featuring.

Manchester United had prepared a development plan for Gabriel and arranged a meeting involving the youngster, his family and club legend Sir Alex Ferguson. However, his omission from the club’s Champions League A-list and his absence from the squad for the Brighton fixture have added to the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Real Madrid are reportedly confident of winning the race for the highly rated forward and have already submitted an offer while informing Manchester United of their interest.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation, although Gabriel is said to be leaning towards a move to Real Madrid. His final decision remains pending as the battle for one of Europe’s most promising young talents continues.
