Dear Miracles Aboagye, It Is Too Late Today But Let Me Deliver This Message From EFO To You —Tawiah
Political commentator Peter Tawiah has accused Miracle Aboagye of attempting to gain public sympathy ahead of possible corruption-related charges, linking the allegation to her recent comments about the appointment of two deputy commissioners of the Electoral Commission (EC).
In a Facebook post, Tawiah claimed that Aboagye could be brought before a court in the coming days over alleged corruption-related matters. He suggested that her comments on the EC appointments were intended to influence public perception before any possible legal proceedings.
According to Tawiah, one of the two deputy commissioners was rumoured to be affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a development he believes Aboagye may be using to draw attention away from the anticipated legal issues.
He also compared the situation to an appointment made by the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, arguing that similar circumstances had occurred about three years earlier.
However, Tawiah did not provide evidence in his post to substantiate his claims about the anticipated charges or Aboagye’s alleged motives.
The political commentator further used the post to reiterate his position that the NDC’s electoral strategy should not be underestimated. Referring to what he called the NDCFUO, he described the group as an influential political force capable of securing electoral victories.
He said he had previously warned members of the NPP against dismissing the group’s political influence, particularly when it comes to elections.
In another part of the post, Tawiah relayed a provocative message he attributed to an individual identified as EFO. The message alleged that three million children born and living in Togo, Benin and Nigeria would turn 18 next year and travel to Ghana to register as voters.
The post further claimed that the alleged individuals appeared younger than their ages because of malnutrition, while suggesting that they would participate in Ghana’s next voter registration exercise.
Tawiah presented the claim in a mocking tone, ending the post with laughter and a sarcastic goodnight message directed at Aboagye and the NPP.
