Star oil donates GH¢1 million towards CID’s ultra-modern office complex

The donation was presented at the Police Headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, 13 October 2026.

Speaking during the presentation, StarOil’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kwame Tieku, highlighted the company’s collaboration with the Police Service in supporting security at its fuel stations.

He explained that StarOil had adopted remote intelligence and monitoring systems, replacing the physical deployment of security personnel at its stations. He noted that police support remained essential to this approach and acknowledged the Service’s contribution to safeguarding the company’s operations.

The complex, currently under construction, will provide detention facilities and office accommodation for the department.

Receiving the donation, the Director-General of the CID, Commissioner of Police Lydia Yaako Donkor, expressed appreciation to StarOil and thanked the company’s management for supporting the project.
