One LGA After Another: Uba Sani’s Outreach Extends to Zangon Kataf

The Kaduna State Government’s Free Medical and Surgical Outreach has extended essential healthcare services to Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, as the administration of Governor Uba Sani continues efforts to improve access to quality healthcare across the state.

The outreach is part of the state government’s broader healthcare intervention aimed at bringing essential medical and surgical services closer to residents, particularly those in underserved communities.

The latest development follows the successful implementation of the first phase of the programme, which recorded more than 18,000 beneficiaries across 10 local government areas in Zone One. The first phase also recorded over 1,000 surgical procedures, more than 40,000 hypertension screenings, and over 3,000 diabetes screenings.

Building on these achievements, the second phase of the initiative was launched in Sanga Local Government Area on Friday, October 9, 2026, by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, at the DM Bello Multipurpose Hall in Gwantu.

The programme is expected to extend its reach to all eight local government areas of Southern Kaduna, further strengthening the state government’s efforts to address healthcare needs at the grassroots.

The initiative, driven by the vision and leadership of Governor Uba Sani, underscores his administration’s commitment to expanding access to affordable healthcare, improving health outcomes, and ensuring that residents across Kaduna State benefit from essential medical interventions.

The continued rollout of the outreach highlights the government’s emphasis on preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and access to medical and surgical treatment for communities across the state.
