Ronaldo Scores Again for Al Nassr as He Closes In on 1,000 Goals

Cristiano Ronaldo has continued his scoring form for Al Nassr, finding the net for the second consecutive time since returning from the international break.

The Portuguese superstar has now reached 981 career goals, moving another step closer to the historic 1,000-goal milestone.

Ronaldo returned to club action after a controversial international break with Portugal, where his disagreement with head coach Jorge Jesus attracted widespread attention. Rather than allowing the situation to dominate his return, the veteran forward responded on the pitch.

His previous goal came in Al Nassr’s 3-0 victory over Al Diriyah, when he opened the scoring in the first half to register his 980th career goal. That strike left him just 20 goals away from reaching 1,000.

His latest effort takes his tally to 981, leaving him 19 goals short of the landmark.

At 41, Ronaldo continues to pursue a record that would represent one of the most remarkable achievements in modern football. His determination to keep scoring remains a major talking point among supporters as he continues his career in Saudi Arabia.

The latest goal will also please Al Nassr fans, who will hope their captain can maintain his scoring run as the club pushes forward in the Saudi Pro League.

With every goal bringing him closer to 1,000, attention will remain on how quickly Ronaldo can reach the milestone.

Can Cristiano Ronaldo become the first player to reach 1,000 official career goals?
