UCL: Barcelona Official Squad List to Face Galatasaray as Four Players Ruled out

According to a report by Barca Universal on Monday October 12, 2026, Barcelona have confirmed their squad for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray in Istanbul, with Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong, Andreas Christensen and Roony Bardghji unavailable for selection.

Hansi Flick must prepare his team for the important European fixture without four players dealing with fitness issues.

Raphinha’s absence is a significant setback for Barcelona following his return from international duty with Brazil. Although the winger’s injury is not considered serious, the club are unwilling to risk worsening the problem. Barcelona want him to recover completely before returning to action.

Raphinha will not travel to Turkey after picking up an injury while representing Brazil. His recurring fitness problems have become a concern for Flick, who must once again adjust his attacking plans ahead of a challenging Champions League away match.

Barcelona will therefore depend on their other forwards to deliver in the Brazilian’s absence. The coaching staff will need to identify suitable alternatives to maintain the team’s attacking threat against Galatasaray.

De Jong is continuing his recovery after sustaining an injury during the recent international period. The Dutch midfielder chose a conservative treatment approach instead of undergoing surgery. He has resumed on-pitch training and has participated in some sessions alongside his teammates.

However, the midfielder has not recovered sufficiently to be included in the travelling squad for Tuesday’s encounter.

Christensen is also unavailable after suffering a muscle injury during Barcelona’s match against Sevilla. The defender’s latest setback has prevented him from joining the group travelling to Istanbul.

Bardghji completes the list of four absentees ahead of the Champions League fixture. His unavailability further reduces Flick’s selection options for the contest.

Despite these setbacks, Barcelona have most of their squad available for the trip. Flick is also expected to make changes in certain positions following the demanding victory over Getafe, as the Catalan side prepare for another important test in Europe.
