Chris Brown and Usher cancel R&B Tour ahead of Brown’s UK court hearing
Chris Brown and Usher have cancelled four upcoming concerts on their joint R&B Tour, with the affected dates falling around Brown’s scheduled return to a United Kingdom court later this month.
The cancellations were announced on Friday, October 9, by the tour organisers, who cited the need to protect the health and well-being of the touring party and crew.
In a statement reported by Complex, the organisers said the decision followed an extensive run of sold-out stadium performances and was intended to ensure the tour could continue safely through its remaining dates.
The affected concerts were scheduled for October 17 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, October 24 at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, October 29 at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, and October 31 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Ticket holders were informed of the cancellations by email.
The tour is still scheduled to perform at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Thursday, October 15, before resuming in Atlanta on November 5.
The announcement comes ahead of Brown’s next court appearance in the UK on October 26, where he is expected to be sentenced in connection with a nightclub assault case.
Brown pleaded guilty in July to a lesser charge of affray, which concerns conduct involving violence or the threat of violence that causes fear among members of the public. The more serious assault and grievous bodily harm charges against him were dropped.
The singer faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison for the offence, according to the report. He is also required to notify authorities of his return to the UK by October 25.
The case relates to an alleged attack at a London nightclub in February 2023, in which music producer Amadou “Abe” Diaw was reportedly struck on the head with a bottle.
Brown was arrested in May 2025 after arriving in the UK for a series of European performances on his Breezy Bowl XX tour. He was subsequently charged with assault, grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon before being released on bail of $6.75 million six days later.
The singer’s album Brown, released in May, debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Billboard said it had contacted representatives for Brown and Usher for comment.
