Afenyo Should Be Worried About This Statement From Gyamfi Because It Could Break Him –Alex Kwame

Political commentator Alex Kwame Amoyaw has cautioned Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin over recent remarks made by Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) Chief Executive Officer Sammy Gyamfi, arguing that the comments could have significant political implications for the lawmaker.

In a Facebook post, Amoyaw described Gyamfi’s statement about Afenyo-Markin as particularly damaging, suggesting that it could affect the Minority Leader not only emotionally but also in his political career.

“Afenyo Markins should be worried about this statement from Sammy Gyamfi. Because this is deep and could break him, not only emotionally, but Politically as well,” Amoyaw wrote.

He further argued that Afenyo-Markin’s frequent public comments and interventions could expose him to greater scrutiny, as political opponents continue to examine his statements and conduct.

“The other issue too is, the more Afenyo talks, the more he exposes himself for serious scrutiny,” he added.

Amoyaw also predicted that Afenyo-Markin could eventually experience opposition or betrayal from within the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He compared the Minority Leader’s situation with that of other prominent party figures, including Ebo Buckman, Kennedy Agyapong and Chairman Wontumi, whom he claimed had faced similar treatment from the party.

“Well, we are all here, soon, just as the NPP did to Ebo Buckman, Kennedy Agyapong, and Chairman Wontumi, Afenyo will, soon get his share of the betrayal from his own Party,” he stated.

According to Amoyaw, political parties sometimes distance themselves from individuals after benefiting from their contributions. He alleged that Afenyo-Markin could eventually face a similar situation if the party no longer considers him useful to its political interests.

“After they are done using him for the dirty job, they will dump, and forget about him like he never existed,” he alleged.

Amoyaw also referred to a video containing Gyamfi’s remarks, claiming that the GoldBod CEO had succinctly captured what he considered the Minority Leader’s political character.

“However, Sammy Gyamfi, in this statement in the video below has described who Afenyo Markins really is, in just a simple statement, and that should get the Micro Minority Leader worried for the rest of his Political life,” he wrote.

Through his comments, Amoyaw suggested that Gyamfi’s remarks could intensify political pressure on Afenyo-Markin while raising questions about his standing within the NPP and his future in the party.
