Koffi Olomide’s Head Turning Outfit at Machoka Concert Has Kenyans Talking

Congolese rhumba star Koffi Olomide got Kenyans talking after stepping out in a white blouse and striped trousers at Fred Machoka’s 50th anniversary concert in Nairobi.

The 70-year-old singer completed his look with a black hat and gold jewellery at the event held at Ulinzi Sports Complex on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Photos and videos of his outfit quickly made the rounds online, with fans jokingly claiming different pieces of his ensemble.

One fan asked Machoka to make sure Olomide left the blouse behind for them to wear on Christmas Day. Another joked that the singer had taken their blouse, while a third expressed interest in his palazzo trousers.

Others focused on the singer’s confidence and sense of style. Laura Chebet praised him as a fashionista, while Yvonne said he continued to impress with his fashion choices at 70.

The concert celebrated five decades of Machoka’s broadcasting career and attracted guests including Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Central Organisation of Trade Unions secretary general Francis Atwoli.

Olomide was among the performers, alongside Mbilia Bel, Sam Fan Thomas, Les Wanyika and Them Mushrooms.
