EPL Table After Today’s Matches

According to a report by The Guardian on Sunday, October 11, 2026, Manchester City strengthened their position at the top of the English Premier League table following an impressive 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, while Crystal Palace secured an important win against Nottingham Forest.

Three Premier League fixtures were played on Sunday, with Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Everton among the teams whose results influenced the standings.

Manchester City delivered the biggest result of the day after defeating Liverpool 3-0 away from home. Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki scored for the visitors, who took advantage of Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch’s dismissal in the second half.

The victory means Manchester City have collected 18 points from their opening six league matches, maintaining their perfect record and establishing a three-point advantage over second-placed Arsenal.

Arsenal remain second with 15 points following their 2-1 victory over Leeds United on Saturday. Brighton occupy third position with 13 points after recording four victories, one draw and one defeat in their opening six matches.

Brentford and Everton complete the top five with 10 points each. Chelsea also have 10 points but sit sixth because of their inferior goal difference compared with the teams immediately above them.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s defeat against Manchester City has left them ninth with nine points from six matches. The Merseyside club have recorded two victories, three draws and one defeat.

Crystal Palace produced an impressive comeback to defeat Nottingham Forest 3-1 at Selhurst Park.

Despite conceding an early goal to Dan Ndoye, Palace responded through Daichi Kamada, Jefferson Lerma and Yeremy Pino to secure all three points.

The victory lifted Crystal Palace to 12th position with seven points, while Nottingham Forest dropped to 14th with five points.

Elsewhere, Hull City and Everton played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Joe Gelhardt and Mohamed Belloumi scored for Hull, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry found the net for Everton.

Manchester United remain 13th with six points after their disappointing 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Michael Carrick’s side have managed just one victory from their opening six league fixtures.

At the bottom of the standings, Fulham remain 20th with two points, while Coventry City and Tottenham Hotspur occupy 19th and 18th positions respectively with three points each.

The Premier League table could experience further changes on Monday when Coventry City face Newcastle United in the remaining fixture of the round.

Manchester City currently lead the title race with 18 points, followed by Arsenal on 15 and Brighton on 13. However, with several clubs separated by narrow margins, the coming fixtures could significantly influence the battle for European qualification and Premier League survival.
