‘I’m truly sorry’: Victor AD apologises to Tiwa Savage over unreleased remix

Afrobeats singer Victor AD has apologised to fellow artiste Tiwa Savage over an unreleased remix of his hit song, Wetin We Gain, acknowledging that he should have addressed the matter much earlier. The singer issued the apology in an open letter shared on his social media page, where he accepted responsibility for the way the collaboration turned out. Victor AD disclosed that Tiwa Savage had contributed a verse to the remix of Wetin We Gain, but the project was never officially released. He said that although there were several reasons he could give for the song’s failure to come out, none could outweigh the time, creativity and effort the award-winning singer invested in the project. In his message, Victor AD thanked Tiwa Savage for contributing to the song and expressed regret over the outcome of the collaboration. “I should have done this a long time ago, but it’s never too late to take accountability for my actions,” he wrote. He said he would always appreciate her impact on his career and the wider music scene. Responding to the open letter, Tiwa Savage indicated that she had no hard feelings over the incident. “I appreciate this. God knows the reason for everything. All love,” she replied. Tags:
