3 hospitalized after two separate crashes at same Omaha intersection
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Two separate crashes in the same location, minutes apart, sent three people to the hospital early Sunday morning, according to Omaha police.
The crashes happened near 78th and Blondo streets around 1:20 a.m.
Omaha police say the first crash involved a scooter driver who went through cones and hit a section where there was no pavement. That rider was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
A short time later, police say an SUV did the same thing, causing a second crash.
Police say the SUV driver left the scene. Two other women in the vehicle had minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to police alcohol is believed to be a factor in both crashes. The investigation is ongoing.
