Todayโ€™s Headlines: Stop fighting lost battle โ€“ Shehu Sani advises INEC excluded candidate; Jonathan, Olu of Warri to headline Megastar awards

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has urged candidates excluded from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, list for the 2027 elections to stop pursuing legal action and focus on future political opportunities.

Sani, via a post on his X handle on Saturday, said the Supreme Court ruling that enabled INEC to exclude some candidates was clear, warning them against wasting money, time and energy on what he described as a lost battle.

โ€œThe Supreme Court ruling that enabled INEC to exclude some names of candidates is very clear. Affected candidates should not waste their money, time and energy fighting a lost battle.

The University of Lagos has partnered food delivery platform Swoop to provide safer and more affordable food delivery services for students under a three-month pilot programme.

According to a statement, the university selected Swoop as one of two approved food delivery platforms under the programme, which seeks to address security concerns arising from the increasing number of unregistered delivery riders entering the campus.

Under the new arrangement, only registered and identifiable riders operating through the approved platforms will be allowed onto the university campus to deliver food to students.

Swoop said it would work with the universityโ€™s security unit to register and identify participating riders while collaborating with the Dean of Student Affairs to ensure that student welfare remains central to the initiative.
