Detectives say the thefts began in July, with the most recent reported theft occurring last week.

According to investigators, Cleveland Seaborn allegedly stole ceiling fans from Home Depot stores using fake receipts. Police say the fans, which cost about $300 each, were primarily sold to Yohan Matos Reyes for about $100 each.

Detectives say Matos Reyes then resold the fans on Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp for about $180 each.

Matos Reyes told police he did not know the fans were stolen, according to investigators. However, detectives said the investigation indicated he had reason to suspect the merchandise was stolen.

Police say they recovered more than 100 ceiling fans from Matos Reyes' home.

The investigation also revealed that Seaborn allegedly used a different identity while committing the thefts. A detective said Seaborn told investigators he had been on the run from police for eight years because of a warrant in another state.

Both suspects were arrested, according to Phoenix police.
