“When a Real Madrid Player Stops Behaving Like One, He Won’t Even Get to Sit on the Bench” —Mourinho

According to a post on X on Saturday, October 10, Real Madrid coach José Mourinho talked about the Real Madrid players after the Mbappé matter relating to the player’s injury.

Although Kylian Mbappé was claimed to have been seen with his partner at a Paris nightclub and to have been involved in a bicycle incident in Switzerland, in the middle of his recovery from the injury he suffered during the international break, Mourinho came out to refute the claims, saying, “It wasn’t a nightclub. Rather, it was a venue for a private Paris Fashion Week event. The bikes at the hotel in Switzerland were simply for getting around the common area of a quiet hotel, yet it was made to look as if Kylian Mbappé was riding in the Tour de Suisse.”

These claims directed toward Kylian Mbappé triggered criticism as some people questioned his commitment. However, José Mourinho, referring to “you” as the fans in the Bernabéu, said, “I promise you, when a Real Madrid player stops behaving like a Real Madrid player, you will not even get the chance to boo him. And that’s because he won’t even get to sit on the bench.”
