Manchester United Make Worst Premier League Start Since 1986 as Poor Run Continues

According to a report by Frabrizio Romano on Sunday, October 11, 2026, Manchester United are enduring a difficult start to their Premier League campaign, with their latest results raising further concerns among supporters.

United have collected just six points from their opening six league matches, recording only one victory during that period. Their poor run has continued, with the club failing to secure a win in their last four games.

The disappointing results have put additional pressure on the team as they struggle to find consistency in England’s top flight. For a club with Manchester United’s history and expectations, the lack of victories represents a worrying development early in the season.

United’s only victory in the six-match period came against Ipswich Town at home, leaving supporters waiting for another league win. However, their inability to build on that result has become a major concern, particularly as other teams continue to compete for valuable points.

The situation has also drawn attention to the club’s historical record. According to the report, United’s current points tally represents their worst start to a Premier League season since 1986, highlighting the scale of their struggles.

Manchester United have traditionally been among the most successful clubs in English football, winning numerous domestic trophies and establishing themselves as regular contenders for major honours. Consequently, a slow start to the campaign naturally attracts scrutiny from supporters and football observers.

With the season still in its early stages, United have time to improve their performances and climb the league table. However, achieving that turnaround will require greater consistency, stronger performances and better results in their upcoming fixtures.

Their next matches will be particularly important as they attempt to end the winless run and restore confidence within the squad. Dropping more points could make their challenge increasingly difficult as the season progresses.

For now, Manchester United supporters will be hoping the team can respond positively and demonstrate the quality expected of a club of their stature. The immediate priority is clear: return to winning ways and prevent their disappointing start from developing into a longer-term problem.
