La Liga Table After Real Madrid Won 1-0

According to a report by BBC SPORT on Saturday October 10, 2026, Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Villarreal after a tense encounter that featured a disallowed goal, a red card for Vinicius Junior, and several important saves from Thibaut Courtois.

The Spanish giants struggled to break the deadlock during the first half despite creating promising opportunities at the Santiago Bernabeu. Kylian Mbappe struck the left post in the seventh minute after finding space inside the penalty area. The French forward later tested goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi with another effort, but Villarreal managed to keep the score level.

Arda Guler also missed a promising opportunity in the 43rd minute, sending his shot wide of the right post. Antonio Rudiger came close with a header that drifted narrowly wide, while Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered several crosses and corners in an attempt to unlock the visitors’ defence.

Despite the late pressure and Vinicius’ dismissal, Real Madrid finished the match with a narrow victory over Villarreal.
