Yoruba movie actress Toyosi Adesanya has revealed the challenges she faced while trying to have a child, including undergoing several surgeries and in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatments.

Adesanya shared her experience during an interview on Oyinmomo TV, explaining that she spent 15 years in her former marriage in Akure without having a child before welcoming motherhood in her new marriage.

The actress disclosed that she underwent five surgeries in 2022 alone. She explained that her journey to motherhood involved several medical procedures, failed attempts to conceive, and a miscarriage.

According to her, the repeated surgeries and IVF treatments exposed her to many medical terms, but she remained hopeful that God would eventually answer her prayers.

Adesanya also revealed that one of the surgeries left her in a coma, causing her husband, Ajibola Oyin Adejobi, to become frightened and regret the situation.

Despite the difficult experience, she expressed gratitude to God for helping her through the challenges and for allowing her to become a mother.

The actress praised her husband for standing by her throughout the difficult period, describing his support as an important part of her journey.

She noted that her experience was filled with pain, medical struggles, and uncertainty, but she never stopped believing that she would eventually have a child.

In his words, “I had become a perpetual customer when it came to doing surgeries and IVF. I heard a lot of medical terms I can’t even mention. I wasn’t bothered; I believed God would come through for me. After I met him, I did at least five surgeries in the year 2022.”
