Nollywood Actress Regina Daniels Opens Up on Prolonged Health Battle

Daniels made the revelation on Saturday while celebrating her 25th birthday. In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actress appeared in a wheelchair as she spoke about her condition and her hopes for a peaceful new chapter in her life.

Describing the milestone as her “Silver Jubilee,” Daniels said she was seeking God’s intervention and praying for peace and calm as she marked the occasion.

She explained that her health problems initially began as a minor issue but gradually became more serious, eventually restricting her ability to move around freely.

According to the actress, the situation worsened after the last major public event she organised, a Children’s Day carnival.

Since then, she said she had undergone numerous medical examinations in an effort to determine the cause of her condition.

Daniels humorously referred to herself as a “lab rat” because of the number of tests she had been subjected to.

She said the pain eventually became unbearable, with her mobility varying from one period to another.

While she sometimes managed to walk normally, there were other occasions when she struggled to move at all.

The actress also acknowledged the emotional impact of the experience, revealing that she had cried over her deteriorating condition.

Despite the difficulties, she said she continued to place her faith in God and pray for divine healing.

Daniels also addressed her followers directly, explaining that she was aware her appearance in a wheelchair could come as a surprise.

She said she decided to share the video partly to explain her prolonged absence from social media and reassure fans and followers who had become concerned about her wellbeing.

As she begins her 25th year, Daniels expressed hope for peace, calm and recovery, while entrusting her health and future to God.
