Nana Akua Addo may have endured abuse out of fear of leaked videos – Oheneni Adazoa

According to a report by Ghanaweb on Saturday, October 10, 2026, Oheneni Adazoa, host of the domestic affairs programme Ahenfie, has offered two possible explanations for why fashion icon Nana Akua Addo may have remained in a marriage marked by abuse over the years.

Speaking in a clip from her show that is now circulating online, Oheneni argued that a woman of Nana Akua’s standing would not ordinarily tolerate such treatment without a compelling reason.

She suggested the husband might be holding compromising videos he could release if Nana Akua walked away. Her second theory was that a physical attachment to him kept the fashion icon in the marriage. These are Oheneni’s personal views; Nana Akua has not said either is true.

Oheneni also reacted angrily to a widely shared video in which the man is seen slapping his own daughter repeatedly. She questioned why Nana Akua only raised her voice at him during the incident instead of confronting him more firmly.

The assault case has sparked discussion across media platforms. Gender Minister Agnes Naa Momo Lartey visited Nana Akua Addo on October 9, 2026, to establish the facts of the matter and assure the family of the Ministry’s support in resolving it.

The matter was scheduled to be heard in court on October 7, 2026. However, Harold Norman, Nana Akua’s husband, did not appear. According to a police report, he had been hospitalised.

The specific charge against Mr Norman has not been detailed, and no outcome in the case has been reported. Oheneni’s remarks have added to the conversation around the family, with clips and reactions spreading on social media.
