EMY Africa announces November dates for 11th awards and MOTY Party
Following a year of international engagements, EMY Africa returns to Accra for the 11th edition of the EMY Africa Awards.
The ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre, while the official pre-awards celebration, the MOTY Party, is scheduled for Sunday, November 8.
The announcement follows a calendar of events that took EMY Africa to Washington, D.C., and London. Through the Africa Rising Symposium and its soirées in both cities, the organisation brought together influential figures from Africa and the diaspora to explore the continent’s place in the world and the responsibilities that come with influence.
In November, the conversation returns home. The awards will recognise individuals whose achievements have made significant contributions to their professions and the communities they serve.
Guests from Ghana and beyond will gather for an evening that places the people behind these achievements at the centre of the celebrations.
This year also introduces a change to the presentation of the honorary awards. For the first time, EMY Africa will publicly announce and present these honours before the other award categories.
The new sequence is intended to give special attention to recipients whose contributions have helped shape their respective fields.
Ahead of the ceremony, the MOTY Party will welcome nominees and friends of EMY Africa to Labadi Beach Hotel. With a “Denim & Spice” dress theme, the evening will offer a more relaxed setting for guests to reconnect and make new connections ahead of the awards ceremony.
Now in its 11th edition, the EMY Africa Awards continues to celebrate African achievement. This year’s November programme invites guests to recognise the accomplishments of distinguished individuals and connect with those helping shape the continent’s future.
