President Bola Tinubu will inaugurate the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council on October 14 ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration is scheduled to hold at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, with former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Dr Betta Edu and other party chieftains expected to play key roles in the campaign structure.

Yari, who is the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, disclosed this on Friday after meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.

Speaking with State House correspondents, he said the President had approved the proposed campaign timetable, which includes a rally in Kaduna on October 24.

The campaign is expected to move from Kaduna to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Ahead of the formal inauguration, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, and Edu, the Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, have begun grassroots mobilisation of women across the country.

The initiative aims to strengthen support for Tinubu’s re-election bid through a nationwide engagement strategy targeting 40 million women’s votes.

According to the campaign plan, the mobilisation drive will cover 176,846 communities and polling-unit structures across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The strategy is designed to deepen the party’s engagement with women through community outreach, mobilisation networks and communication of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0.

The October 14 inauguration is expected to formalise the campaign council’s operations and bring party leaders and other stakeholders together to coordinate activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The inauguration will precede the planned October 24 rally in Kaduna, which is expected to mark the start of Tinubu’s nationwide re-election.
