Gold prices increase by Rs5,900 per tola

ISLAMABAD  –  Gold prices witnessed an upward trend in the local market on Friday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola increasing by Rs5,900 to close at Rs440,936, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs5,058 to settle at Rs378,031, while the price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs4,637 to reach Rs346,541. In the international market, gold prices also recorded an increase of $59 to reach $4,184 per ounce, the association reported. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola in the domestic market increased by Rs144 to stand at Rs6,512, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs123 to close at Rs5,582. The price of silver in the international market also witnessed an increase of $1.44 to settle at $60.34 per ounce, according to the association.
