From next week, i will preach in buses, let them arrest me and see what happens – Prophet Gaisie

According to report by Thebbcghana on Friday 9, October 2026, prophet Nigel Gaisie has vowed to continue preaching the gospel in commercial buses and lorries despite restrictions on the practice, arguing that religious preaching in public transport should not be prohibited when permission has been granted by drivers.

The founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel International said he sees no problem with preaching in commercial vehicles, particularly when the driver is comfortable with the activity and allows it to take place.

Speaking on the issue, Prophet Gaisie declared that he would soon resume preaching on buses and lorries, daring authorities to arrest him if they attempt to stop him. β€œLet them come and arrest me and see what will happen,” he stated.

The outspoken preacher described the restrictions on preaching in commercial vehicles as β€œmedieval and unprogressive,” insisting that churches and religious leaders should be given the freedom to spread the gospel.

According to him, preaching remains an important part of the Christian faith, and efforts to restrict the practice in public spaces should not prevent religious leaders from reaching people outside traditional church settings.

His comments come amid discussions over the regulation of religious activities in commercial vehicles, where concerns have previously been raised about passenger comfort, driver concentration and the potential impact of public preaching on road safety.

While Prophet Gaisie maintains that permission from drivers should be sufficient to allow such activities, the issue has generated debate over whether additional rules are necessary to balance religious freedom with the rights and safety of passengers and road users.

For now, the preacher remains firm in his position and says he intends to take his message to commercial buses and lorries, regardless of the restrictions.
