NPP lost 2024 election through arrogance, corruption and incompetence – Julius Karl Fieve
Speaking to Isaac Addae on Morning Starr on Starr FM, Mr Fieve argued that the NPP lost the election because of its record in government, rather than alleged intimidation of its supporters by members of the NDC.
He said the party had an opportunity to reflect on its defeat and reposition itself during its recent national delegates’ conference but, in his view, failed to make the necessary changes to strengthen its appeal to voters.
Mr Fieve also questioned the NPP’s record on infrastructure development, challenging the party to point to significant projects it completed during its time in office.
He argued that the party relied heavily on its Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy when highlighting its achievements but had failed to demonstrate comparable accomplishments in other areas of national development.

According to him, the NPP must confront the underlying reasons for its electoral defeat instead of attributing the outcome to the conduct of its political opponents.
Mr Fieve further criticised the party’s recent leadership choices, arguing that the national delegates’ conference presented an opportunity to elect experienced figures who could help rebuild the party’s relationship with young people, the middle class and sections of the media.
He said the NPP’s ability to recover from its 2024 electoral defeat would depend on whether it honestly assessed its performance in government and addressed the concerns that contributed to its loss.
