Something Big Is Coming Ahead Of This Election—Primate Ayodele On 2027 Election

According to a report by Daily Post on October 9, 2026, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has criticised the proposed 30-day fuel price discount by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing the initiative as an ineffective measure amid the country’s economic challenges.

Ayodele, in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, on Friday, argued that the proposed discount would do little to address the difficulties facing Nigerians, accusing the government of struggling to manage the country’s challenges while pursuing a second term in office.

The cleric expressed concerns about the administration’s handling of insecurity and its approach to addressing the rising cost of living. He also questioned the government’s commitment to tackling ransom payments associated with kidnapping.

“Tinubu’s government is on the verge of failure; the petroleum discount is nothing. I have said he will do anything to bail himself out for a second term; they will do anything, and something big is coming ahead of this election,” Ayodele said.

He further accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of being desperate to retain power in the forthcoming election, alleging that the party was uncertain about its approach to securing victory.

According to the prophet, Tinubu could make unexpected political decisions ahead of the election, warning the President to exercise caution regarding some campaign activities.

Ayodele also described the possibility of returning fuel subsidies as evidence of confusion within the administration, suggesting that the proposed discount reflected uncertainty over the government’s economic direction.

Beyond his criticism of the fuel policy, the cleric warned that Tinubu’s re-election could expose Nigerians to even greater economic hardship.

He maintained that his warning was based on what he said he had received from God, insisting that the country could experience a more severe crisis if the President secures another term.
