ECG Announces 8-Hour Light-out in These Areas
Residents and businesses in several parts of Greater Accra are expected to be without electricity for eight hours as the Electricity Company of Ghana prepares to undertake scheduled maintenance.
The exercise is expected to take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The affected locations include Adonteng, Konkonuru Town, Agyeinanti, Ayim, Adinkrabi, Brekusu, the Refresh Factory, Regimanuel Estate and Marteyman, along with nearby communities.
ECG explained that the temporary interruption is required to allow maintenance work to be carried out and to help strengthen the quality and reliability of electricity supply in the affected areas.
Customers within the listed communities have been urged to plan ahead and take steps to minimise the effects of the outage on their homes and businesses.
The power company expressed regret over the inconvenience and assured customers that the maintenance is part of its broader efforts to improve service delivery. ECG also urged the public to monitor its official communication platforms for possible updates or adjustments to the announced timetable.
