Gandapur says he is silent out of respect for Imran Khan
Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly reacted to Sohail Afridi’s description of a march as a “fixed match”, calling the remark a serious allegation and warning that he could disclose records about those involved.
In a statement, Gandapur said he had substantial material and records but was choosing to remain silent out of respect for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and the party.
“I, too, have records. Every record is available. If I bring them to light, everyone will be exposed and left unable to show their faces in public,” Gandapur said.
He urged Afridi to focus on his own work rather than make allegations against others.
“Focus on yourself and achieve something of your own,” he said.
Gandapur said describing the march as a “fixed match” amounted to a serious accusation. He expressed anger over the comment and said he would not tolerate such statements.
“There is a limit to ingratitude,” he said, adding that people should not make claims beyond what they could substantiate or withstand.
He also said he knew the true standing of those involved but had so far refrained from making further disclosures.
Gandapur maintained that his decision not to reveal the records was linked to his regard for Imran Khan and PTI.
