Did Apple Music Just Accidentally Reveal The Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show Performer & Delete The Evidence? [PHOTOS]

Apple Music appears to have teased the Super Bowl halftime show performer, only to delete the post.

She wears a crystal-trimmed corset, and stage lights glow behind her. A guitar, black heart, and bouquet emoji fill the caption. The screenshot lists the post as shared by Apple Music “and 5 others.”

Nerdspin reported that the post disappeared soon after it appeared. An X account also shared the screenshots and asked whether Apple Music had dropped a clue. Neither Apple Music nor the NFL has confirmed anything.

Several replies on X pointed to Miley Cyrus. According to Nerdspin, the bouquet emoji could nod to her song about self-love. Cyrus addressed the halftime rumors back in March.

Cyrus now goes by the mononym Miley. She released her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, on September 18. Consequence has also reported that she will play the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18. Those shows will mark her first public performances in four years. Tickets went on general sale September 11 through Ticketmaster.

Super Bowl LXI arrives on February 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Cyrus sounded hesitant about the gig in a March interview with Variety, according to NME. “I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure,” she said. She added that she could find a way if it felt like her anniversary special.

This isn’t the first false alarm, either. A viral post claiming Cyrus’s announcement back in September turned out to be fake.

Apple Music had already dropped a hint last month. Oddschecker described a September teaser with close-up imagery of shiny teeth and lips. That image fueled theories that a female superstar could be involved.

Other names have circulated, too. TMZ reported that Justin Bieber and Harry Styles top Roc Nation’s reported shortlist. The sources said neither has been approached. Roc Nation partners with the NFL on the show.

Kalshi had Jay-Z at 50% on October 1. Harry Styles sat at 34%, and Cyrus had dropped to 29% from 63%. Kalshi said her odds fell despite the album and Hollywood Bowl announcements.

“It’s Britney b***h” a fan declared.

“Looks like Sabrina carpenter” one person offered.

“Tate ??” another user asked.

“Beyoncé or Miley Cyrus” someone else suggested.

Those guesses span several genres, and the post itself offers no proof for any of them. The NFL usually announces its performers in late September. However, no official name has surfaced yet.

For now, a silhouette, three emojis, and a deleted post remain the only clues.
