MATCH REPORT: Nations FC ends Medeama SC unbeaten run in fashion

Medeama SC’s 17 consecutive league unbeaten run got halted on Friday, at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex – Abrankese when Nations FC silenced them with a 2-1 scoreline.

Despite, the visitors Medeama SC announcing their presence at the venue before the home fans with an opener early in the game, could not exhibit their dominance in the game a such lost and failed to bring Nations FC home dominance to a halt.

Nations FC are currently with a brilliant home run of form, having managed 22 points in their 10 home league matches this season.

They are yet to lose at Abrankese in 11 matches following victory over Medeama SC – now recording 7 wins and 4 draws at home.

With Kingsley Braye’s opener cancelled by Nations FC skipper Razak Simpson’s brilliant header in the 19th minute, the host begun detecting pace and tempo of game to the away side.

Simpson leading the charge, secured a brace after converting from the spot on the struck of half time (43rd minute) which was enough to safeguard Nations FC to break.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko surprisedly made substitutions to his side yet could not change the dynamics of the second half, as no goals were recorded leaving Nations FC to amass all three maximum points in week 21 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier league.

This victory now ensures Nations FC have accumulated 27 points whiles Medeama SC remains summit of league with 43 points.
