Sifuna Cautioned, Told The Big Mistake He is Allegedly Making That Could Deny Him The Presidency in 2027

Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Tony Gachoka has ignited a fresh political debate after publicly questioning the motivations of specific leaders from the Luo community.

In a statement shared on his social media platforms, Gachoka took aim at politicians who have chosen to establish their own political parties rather than supporting Edwin Sifuna.

He specifically referenced Siaya Governor James Orengo who recently reaffirmed his position as the party leader of the Liberal Democratic Party an outfit founded by Raila Odinga.

Gachoka sharply criticized this trend describing the leaders involved as wheelbarrows.

He further questioned why Sifuna continues to associate with these individuals during public rallies and events alongside Linda Mwananchi.

The KANU candidate labeled this continued association a big mistake, suggesting a disconnect between Sifuna’s camp and the local leadership structures.

The remarks come at a time of increasing fragmentation within the political landscape.

Governor Orengo’s recent declaration in West Yimbo emphasized his leadership role in the LDP, signaling a push for independent political identities despite past alliances.

Gachoka who is actively campaigning for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat used the opportunity to highlight what he perceives as a lack of unified direction among leaders in the region.

The statement raises questions about the future of political unity in the region and the strategic decisions being made by its leaders.

As the political realignments continue to take shape, the focus remains on how these party formations will impact broader coalition strategies ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
