“I Refused to Settle”: Odumodublvck Reveals How Man Who Filmed Him at Home Took Him to Court

According to a report by Daily Post on Sunday November 08, 2026, Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has recounted how a man who allegedly filmed him without permission at his residence later dragged him to court over an assault accusation, revealing that he rejected his lawyers’ recommendation to settle the dispute.

The rapper explained that the incident began when the man gained access to his home through a mutual acquaintance but allegedly started recording him without obtaining his consent.

According to Odumodublvck, the individual continued filming despite warnings from both him and his bouncer.

He said the disagreement later resurfaced at a party after the man allegedly brought out his camera and continued recording. The rapper claimed he eventually confronted him on stage, although the situation appeared to have been resolved afterwards.

Odumodublvck said the man even danced with him following their confrontation and continued recording, leaving him surprised when footage of the encounter appeared online the next morning.

The rapper further alleged that the individual subsequently instituted legal proceedings against him, accusing him of assault over the incident.

Recounting the development, Odumodublvck said his legal representatives advised him to resolve the matter through a settlement. However, he maintained that he was unwilling to accept the suggestion because he believed he had committed no wrongdoing.

He said he considered settling the case unjustified, insisting that he would rather defend himself than agree to an arrangement over an incident he believed had been misrepresented.

“I told them I’m not going to settle. This is what happened to Michael Jackson. He settled when he did not do so,” the rapper said.

Odumodublvck’s account has brought renewed attention to the dispute, particularly his decision to reject an out-of-court settlement despite his lawyers’ advice.
