I Am Not A Paedophile, I Don’t Even Know What It Means Until I Was In Prison- Ijesha

According to a report by Daily Post on Sunday, November 8, 2026, Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha, has alleged that he was framed in the child sexual abuse case that led to his imprisonment, maintaining that he is not a paedophile and was targeted by people who conspired against him.

The actor made the claims during an interview with Agbaletu Uncensored, where he spoke about the allegations and his experience following his arrest and conviction.

According to him, he did not understand the meaning of the term “paedophile” until he was incarcerated, insisting that the label did not describe him.

“I am not a paedophile, I don’t even know what it means until I was in prison,” he said.

Baba Ijesha also disputed the circumstances surrounding the incident, particularly the location where he was captured in a video that became part of the case against him.

He claimed that he had never visited the house where the incident was allegedly recorded, questioning the account presented against him.

“The house where I was caught on camera, I have never been there before,” he said.

The actor further recounted his reaction while in prison after being accused of using a key to deflower a seven-year-old girl.

According to him, he challenged those who accused him by referring to the fact that he also has a daughter, adding that he placed a curse on them if the allegation against him was true.

“They said I used a key to deflower a 7-year-old. I told them I also have a girl child; when is time they should do likewise to her if I truly did it. I laid that curse,” he said.

His latest comments revisit the controversial child sexual abuse case that resulted in his imprisonment, as he continues to maintain his innocence and alleges that he was deliberately set up by those behind the accusations.
