ECG Announces Nationwide Exercise From November 9 – What Every Customer Must Know

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is set to commence a nationwide revenue mobilisation exercise on Monday, November 9, 2026, as part of efforts to recover outstanding electricity bills from customers.

The exercise, scheduled to end on Friday, November 27, will target residential, commercial and industrial consumers, as well as Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) with unpaid electricity bills.

In a notice issued on Saturday, November 7, ECG advised customers with outstanding balances to clear their arrears before the commencement of the exercise to avoid disconnection and additional reconnection charges.

The company disclosed that special monitoring teams would be deployed nationwide to oversee the operation and ensure compliance with its revenue collection procedures.

ECG also warned that individuals involved in illegal electricity connections, interference with its operations or unauthorised reconnection of power supplies after disconnection would be arrested and prosecuted.

Customers who encounter difficulties accessing their electricity bills have been encouraged to visit the nearest ECG office for assistance.

The company further urged consumers to use its approved payment platforms, including the ECG Mobile App, to settle outstanding bills and avoid disruptions to their electricity supply.

Customers seeking further information or assistance can contact ECG through its customer service centre on 0302611611 or reach the company through its official social media platforms.
