In 2025 alone, the programme helped reunite more than 70 people with their families, with children accounting for the majority of the cases.
One of its most touching interventions involved a little girl who went missing while staying with her grandmother. The two remained separated for almost two years before the programme facilitated their reunion.
All interventions undertaken by the programme were provided free of charge, with no fees imposed on the affected families.
The achievement also reflects the work of Sandra Nana Adwoa, a versatile journalist with experience in both hard and soft news reporting.
She currently serves as Director of Bullet TV, a subsidiary of the Tobinco Media Group (TMG), which also operates Atinka TV.
The award reinforces the potential of television as a tool for social intervention and demonstrates how journalism can make a direct difference in people’s lives.
For the families reunited through Missing Persons, the programme’s impact goes beyond television recognition, offering renewed hope and the opportunity to reconnect with loved ones.
