Vim Lady Warns Sam George Over Conduct Towards Military Officer, Says It Could Trigger Coup Concerns

Vim Lady has cautioned Ghana’s Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam George, over his alleged conduct towards a military officer, warning that such actions could have serious consequences for the country’s democratic stability.

She expressed concern about the manner in which the minister reportedly dealt with the military officer, suggesting that confrontations between political officeholders and members of the armed forces should be handled carefully.

According to Vim Lady, the conduct could potentially create unnecessary tension between civilian authorities and the military, a situation she believes could have dangerous implications for Ghana’s political environment.

She warned that disrespectful or provocative interactions involving the armed forces could contribute to instability and fuel concerns about a possible military intervention or coup.

Her comments have drawn attention to the importance of maintaining mutual respect between government officials and security personnel, particularly in a democratic country where civilian authority over the military remains a fundamental principle.

The warning has also reignited discussions about the relationship between politicians and the security services, with questions being raised about how disagreements involving military personnel should be addressed.

However, a coup remains a serious possibility that should not be casually predicted, and there is no established evidence that the reported confrontation has created an actual threat of military takeover.

Vim Lady’s remarks have nevertheless added to the public debate surrounding Sam George’s conduct and the need for responsible engagement between political leaders and members of Ghana’s security agencies.
