“Unstoppable Kaizer Chiefs’ New 18-Year-Old Wonderkid Scores Twice in 1 Minute
SEVEN WINS IN A ROW! KAIZER CHIEFS YOUNGSTERS SEND STRONG WARNING TO PSL RIVALS AFTER ANOTHER IMPRESSIVE VICTORY
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA — 7 NOVEMBER 2026
Kaizer Chiefs have continued their impressive start to the 2026/27 DStv Diski Challenge season after securing a seventh consecutive victory with a convincing 3-1 triumph over AmaZulu FC on Saturday morning.
The result further strengthened Amakhosi’s position at the top of the reserve league standings, with the young Chiefs side demonstrating consistency, attacking quality and determination in their pursuit of silverware.
Under the guidance of coach Vela Khumalo, the Chiefs youngsters have emerged as one of the most impressive teams in the competition. Their latest victory means they have collected maximum points from all seven matches played so far, maintaining a perfect winning record.
The standout performer against AmaZulu was once again highly rated striker Neo Bohloko, who delivered an outstanding performance by scoring twice.
Bohloko opened the scoring in the 12th minute after being set up by Steven Mendes. The 18-year-old needed just another minute to find the back of the net again, completing his brace and giving Chiefs a commanding 2-0 advantage.
His contribution took his league goal tally to eight in seven appearances, underlining his growing importance to the team and his impressive development as a young attacking talent.
AmaZulu refused to surrender without a fight and managed to pull one goal back in the 54th minute, briefly giving themselves hope of getting something from the encounter.
However, Chiefs remained composed and continued searching for another goal to put the contest beyond their opponents.
Their persistence eventually paid off in the 82nd minute when Kamohelo Malefo found the back of the net following another assist from Mendes, who enjoyed an excellent afternoon with two assists.
The third goal effectively sealed another important victory for the Soweto giants.
Chiefs have now scored 22 goals in seven league matches while conceding just six, giving them an impressive goal difference of plus 16.
Their outstanding record has also helped them move seven points clear of second-placed Sekhukhune United, who have a match in hand.
The achievement is particularly encouraging for the club because the DStv Diski Challenge provides an important platform for developing young footballers who could eventually progress into the senior team.
With Bohloko continuing to deliver goals and several youngsters demonstrating their quality, Chiefs supporters will have plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the club’s development programme.
However, maintaining this remarkable consistency will be the next challenge for Khumalo and his players as the campaign progresses.
For now, Amakhosi’s message to their rivals is clear: they are not prepared to surrender their position at the top without a fight.
