Tragedy averted as troops discover and detonate IED planted on Borno road by terrorists

Troops of the Nigerian Army, working alongside local vigilantes, have discovered and safely detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) planted along the Damboa–Bulabulin–Maiduguri road in Borno State.The device was discovered at about 1:30 p.m. on November 2, 2026, during a route-dominance patrol and escort of civilian vehicles by troops of 25 Brigade, Sector 2.
