Eniola Badmus: Take Off Makeup, Take Off Filter, She’s Not Fine, Even With the Losing Weight– Bakare

Nigerian actress and filmmaker Laide Bakare has explained why she does not see any possibility of reconciling with her colleague, Eniola Badmus, following the breakdown of their friendship.

Speaking during an interview on the With Chude podcast, Bakare said they were once on good terms, but certain actions by Badmus changed their relationship.

She recalled an incident at Seyi Vodi’s 50th birthday celebration in Abuja, where she felt Badmus was trying to show that she and her friends were more important than others at the event.

Bakare said she felt uncomfortable with the situation and decided to walk away, adding that some friendships end and must be allowed to remain that way.

The actress also suggested that jealousy over her beauty might be one of the reasons behind their strained relationship.

She further made a remark about Badmus’ appearance, saying that even after removing makeup and filters, she did not consider her colleague beautiful despite her weight loss.

Bakare maintained that she had no interest in rebuilding the friendship, suggesting that the relationship had reached a point where reconciliation was no longer possible.

In her words, “Sometimes in my head, I think maybe because take off makeup, take off filter, she’s not fine. Even with the losing weight, everything, she still cannot.”
